• Overall great professor who really focuses on teaching and shows he cares about his students learning. Should be allowed to have more in person classes, he explains very well. Outstanding teaching skills that not every professor at FHSU has. One of my favorite professor since I started at FHSU. It was great to have you and wishing you best of luck in the future.

• I returned to school after many years absence and selected this class as it sounded interesting when reading the course description. Once I started attending the lectures, it was clear to me. The instructor knows the material very well and presented it in an organized fashion. The combination of economic theory, agricultural practices, food trends and population changes were very timely and relevant to the news today, and the examples provided for each chapter helped to reinforce the concepts presented. The student presentations at the end of the semester were extremely interesting. I would highly recommend this class to others. Mr. Xu is an engaging teacher and works hard to make each class interesting.
• Dr. Xu was very helpful to students if they didn't understand material or had questions about the material and was always very fast to respond to emails. He was very understanding when I personally had to miss class. Great professor.
